Series 3 says no room for update. Help!

My daughter has a series 3. It’s telling her there is not enough room for the new OS 7 update. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yeah, I deleted every app off my S3 and had no media on it, and I still didn't have enough space.

She needs to unpair and set it up as a new watch in order to update. However, there are a lot of reports of S3 owners (myself included) having their watches reboot/shut down constantly - my recommendation would be to have her wait until this is fixed in a future update.

Deleting all apps and rebooting the watch gave me enough space to upgrade. I didn’t have to unpair.

I had to wipe my watch to get OS 7 onto it. Only way I could get proper space. I also ordered an SE the next day. Not dealing with that nonsense ever again. (Plus I went larger to 44mm.)
