my daughter has a series 3 watch and an iPhone 11. She cant get her apps to install from iPhone to watch. It says install to right of the apps on the phone but when we click on it, the circle come up for like a second and then the install button just pops up again. Does this for all the apps. I have googled this and tried everything. Did updates on both devices, toggled stuff off and on, wiped the watch and re-paired it. Nothing seems to work.. anyone?

There are a couple of topics about this issue... I myself raised one After my series 4 and iPhone developed the exact same problem.
After two updates and unpair followed by repair the problem is still there.
The only way to install apps is do what nippyjun mentions; use the App Store App on the Watch.
However, be prepared to have to provide your Apple ID Password each and every time you install an app..... annoying to say the least.

I just looked at your thread, did you ever get it figured out? I called Apple and they said they can try to fix over the phone so when I have my daughter next weekend we will call.

Never did get fixed... I raised it with Apple as an issue. Apple will tell you to either unpair/repair, turn OFF then ON Bluetooth, untick/retick iCloud, and if that doesn’t work they will most probably tell you to set up BOTH the Watch & iPhone as new!!...... Not ideal by a long way.

Have you tried unpairing the Watch then removing Watch App (complete removal, make sure it does not stay in the app library otherwise it keeps all the data/settings) on the iPhone then installing it again then pairing the Watch again ? It might be worth a try in case something got corrupted there.

Also on the linked thread someone has mentioned Bluetooth being possible culprit so it could also be worth to reset network settings on the iPhone before trying to pair the Watch again.

Good luck!

yes I did, same issue

So after a few weeks of apple collecting all her data from watch and phone and sending info to the engineers, they called back yesterday and told me issue was addressed in the most current watch update and to try it.... still doesn't work, doing the exact same thing... unreal

so they couldn't get it fixed over phone with engineers so they had me send the watch to them for repair or replacement. so we will see
