I lost my series 4 in the lake yesterday in about 10 feet of water. I replaced it with an SE and am very happy with the SE.

Question: I plan on going back and looking for it but will it survive in 10-15 feet of water for 3 days?

I'd say you've got at least a 75% chance of it working.

10-15 isn't terribly deep, and a lake should be fairly still at the bottom.
If you're by the community boat dock with lots of motor traffic your chances go down a little with the possibility of the watch getting stirred up.

I'd give it a good clean before attempting to charge, and look for water underneath the screen.

  1. Apple Watch Series 3 and Series 4 have a water resistance rating of 50 meters under ISO standard 22810:2010. This means that they may be used for shallow-water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean. However, they should not be used for scuba diving, waterskiing, or other activities involving high-velocity water or submersion below shallow depth.

Will be a great story to tell! I'd say it has a great chance of surviving the event. I'm sure the battery will run out of juice but clean it up and throw it on the charger..
