Series 4 slow when swiping down to clear messages.

Is it just mine that is slow at dismissing notifications when swiping down from the top? Is it designed to pause before going back to clock face? Seems worse since I dropped the watch on Saturday.

I have notice this too, but I think it’s Watch OS 5. Noticed it happening on my S3 watch too before I upgraded to the 4. I almost have to click on the notification and open before I can swipe to dismiss.
