Series 5 Not receiving notifications when connected to cellular?

As above been looking everywhere to find an explanation but to no avail, notifications work fine if connected to Bluetooth or wi-fi but nothing over cellular when out and about, any ideas?

I have the same problem (whatsapp only) over cellular (Apple Watch 4)...

I can receive calls a texts but never get notifications from apps, I was out for at least 4 hours the other night and didn’t get 1 notification, got home and checked my phone and I had quite a few come through in that time.

That is odd...i only just signed up to use data on my series 5 and still got notifications. Seems odd why this is happening

Yep can’t seem to find any explanation as to why, have tried everything I can think of, restarts, re-pairing, setting up as new and nothing changes.
