Hi all, just went from series 4 to series 6. Loving it except for this jarring animation/brightness step up every time I look at the watch.

Just checking the time means a one second animation & two step brightness increase. I’m finding it distracting and it makes it feel slow. Can I turn it off or speed it up?

Reduce animation doesn’t work.

There's no setting I'm aware of - though you can turn off AOD if you prefer. I don't use full-brightness so perhaps that's why I don't see the AOD to active brightness change as jarring

You can't see the time on the AOD?

I’ve checked my S6 and I can’t see any jarring or two-step brightness increase. It just goes from AOD to full brightness within a microsecond

Try a less dramatic flick, and I imagine the animation will complete by the time the "wrist raise" is complete.... like on the S4.

Ok, it was mostly being tired on the first day. I don’t find it as jarring now that I’m a bit more used to it.
But I would prefer faster transition animation.

But here is comparison videos, series 4 on left, series 6 on right. In normal speed then slowmo.

Older watch seems faster.

Pretty indisputable evidence there. Hopefully enough people are reporting it that it gets addressed.
