Trying to decide... I want the darker watch. I have a nice Omega when I need to dress up so want a dark Apple Watch for casual and business (when I don’t want to show off with an expensive Omega). I do NOT like the graphite at all. The SS is nice and is the natural Ti but I don’t want scratches (yes they both scratch).

Thoughts...

I am leaning Hermès SBSS as I love the old SBSS. Don’t want anything that doesn’t have sapphire glass.

Only you can decide if the added cost of the Hermes watch is worth it for you to get an SBSS casing.

I'm very happy with my SBTi S6 having come from an SBSS S5 and S4 previous.

That is the issue. Don’t care about the cost difference. Cant decide which one I like better but definitely don’t need both!

It's not the casing that costs more. It's the Hermes strap.

While true, the distinction is moot if folks can't order the SBSS S6 without the Hermes strap.

I've not found a way to configure an SBSS for less than $1249/1299 (40/44mm); even Create Your Style limits to the Hermes straps.

So if you have a way around that, post the info/link. I'm sure there's a lot of folks who'd be very interested.

SB titanium + Hermes strap is cheaper than dark Hermes so it does come down to the finish on the watch itself. I went SB titanium + Hermes strap and personally I am happy with my choice (and I’m always willing to admit when I’m not happy with a choice). Another factor for me was that I do like the slimmer more elegant hands on the Hermes clock face but was worried about getting hooked on that so feeling compelled to go Hermes for future years and maybe missing out on finishes that Hermes Edition doesn’t offer such as gold or blue. As well as price I also decided that I didn’t want to risk getting hooked on Hermes watch faces and limiting my choices for future purchases with which I plan to increase my selection of finishes.
