Series 6 to 9… messages

Hey everyone,

I’m a week into owning my new Series 9. I upgraded from a Series 6 that got water damaged.

Ever since getting this new watch I’ve been having odd behaviour with messages. At times I will have very delayed notifications from messages.

Other times I go to send a message from the watch and it fails.

It also doesn’t seem to keep in sync all the time with my messages.

This issue this far has been very annoying because the “it just works” feels broken with this current watch. Hoping for the next watchOS update to fix it.

I’ve also noticed it SEEMS to happen when my phone is on cellular data. If I connect to wifi it’ll sync up my watch. However I have good service and everything works on my phone.

Anyone else experiencing any issues like this?

Do you have the phone on when it’s on cellular even if in another part of the world?

Still experiencing this after multiple point updates. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Out of curiosity, how did you water damage your 6?

Swimming in a kids wading pool at my local sports centre then swimming in the regular pool. Apple told me the “water resistance may deteriorate over time”.
