Hello, my series 6 is asking me to sign into apple ID on the watch after a recent update. The problem is when I go to do it, it will only let you draw and trying to put in numbers it corrects it to letters.

I'm not sure what I am missing on how to do this correctly. Any thoughts/suggestions?

One of the most annoying things I've had to fight with my watch on.

I just dealt with it until eventually my phone gave me a pop up asking if I wanted to use my iPhone's keyboard for text input on the watch. I have no idea why it only rarely gives you that option, but it made it sooo much easier to type.

Thanks. Everything seems to be functioning so I guess I will just keep hitting cancel until it does what you are describing

The keyboard option should pop up on your phone. However the issue may just be what was occurring with the phones, many of us were getting sign in requests for the Apple ID used for app and media purchases. I did sign in once but it was popping up after a restart anyway so I hit cancel and it didn’t come back. If it recurs on your watch you might try just filling it in, if you get the phone to bring up a keyboard, it’s too tedious on the watch. Otherwise just keep hitting cancel.
