My Apple Watch (Series 6, GPS, 44mm, OS 7.3) turns off fine, but once it's off, it's essentially dead. Holding the power button does nothing, holding the crown does nothing, and holding both buttons doesn't do anything either (even for 15+ seconds). This is true even when 90% charged or more.

The only way I can get it to turn back on is to place it briefly on the charger, and then it fires right back up.

Anyone else experiencing this or have a suggestion? My Amazon return window for the watch expires today, but I am reluctant to return it because the black model isn't immediately available for the sale price I got it for.

Update to 7.3.2 and see if it helps..

I just tried this to no avail.... I also tried erasing all settings and content and re-pairing, which did not help either.

I contacted Apple Support via chat, and the rep made one pathetic attempt to resolve it (if you could call it that), basically asking me to turn it off and turn it on again (which, of course, reproduced the issue). After that she said I had to send it in. No option for express replacement since apparently that requires AppleCare+.

I started a return with Amazon, but they won't have inventory for the black 44mm model until April 20 :-/. Now I am debating about waiting for the replacement from Amazon vs sending the watch back to Apple.
