Is it worth it to upgrade from the 4 to the 6? My 4 works great for my needs and the 16GB is plenty of space for me. The blood oxygen sensor would be nice but not necessary. Please sell me an upgrade.

IMHO it'd wait for series 7. The differences are pretty smalls between 5 and 6. Blood oxygen isn't accurate. Not worth it. The glucose things is interesting not sure how it will fit in one's life if you are not diabetic but we know the always on display will be brighter and fast charging could be faster and overall display might be brighter.

I went from a 4 to a 6 and it was worth it for me but my requirements might be completely different to you. If you are using your phone as a reference to what capabilities you have available then a watch is probably not what you need.

For me I really like the always on display. It got annoying with the face not always responding or having to wait for it. Blood oxygen was good but - a bit like the ECG function - once you know you are ok then you don't use it too much (I like having the option tho). 5ghz wifi - makes no difference to me. The battery lasts a lot longer but I charge every night so not a deal clincher. I like the compass but again... not a deal clincher.

I use mine a lot for running and one thing my 4 didn't do well was to run two running apps at once. I'd start NRC then Workout, switch back to NRC and Workout would stop. Works fine on 6. I'd imagine even if the 7 has glucose sensor in it unless this is a specific requirement it won't tempt you.

I agree, the biggest change from your 4 would be the always-on display that came from Series 5. If that's something you're interested in (to me, it's been fantastic, as I upgraded from a Series 2 > Series 5), you could look into secondary market for Series 5's now that the 6 is out.

Apple Watches tend to lose resale value really quickly, especially once new models come out. Lot of brand-new-in-box Series 5's you could probably get at a pretty healthy discount to the Series 6 prices, if you're comfortable with buying from not Apple.

I went from a 4-5 a few weeks ago with the insane deal Best Buy had. Only major difference was the always on display which I now love having. 4-6 will be a nice jump. Enjoy it.

Pretty sure AOD would be a huge benefit for me. It's just I know the 7 will be out later this year and I just can't find myself upgrading - even though I curse at my S1 daily as it is super slow. It still does what I need (alarms, schedule, phone calls/texts, weather, etc).

AOD is the big one. For some people it makes a big difference. But then I also know a lot of people who turn it off in their Series 5/6 watches to preserve battery life. Up to you man........ I personally have a Series 5 and love the AOD. 5GHZ Wi-fi for me is a biggie in my iPhone, laptop or tablets, but for the Wi-Fi usage in my Apple Watch I couldn't care less if it is connected to 2.4 or 5 Ghz.
