Series 9 and HomeKit

Anyone having a problem with HomeKit with there series 9? I noticed every time I tried to run a shortcut with Siri on the 9 since I got it that the shortcut failed. So I tried the app on the watch and that too fails… so I opened HomeKit itself and I see all my devices and can even get my live camera feeds… but if I go to turn on a Light, it either takes 30 seconds to work or fails entirely and tells me not responding… all of this works fine from my phone.

Never mind. Somehow the watch never joined my WiFi network on its own which explains all the issues

Actually later in the day and I'm still having this issue even though it is on the wifi now.... 30 seconds or more to turn on one light and the rest say not responding or show as on when they're not... all works fine on the phone... ugh
