Series 9 keeps locking while running

In the last couple of runs I had, my watch is locking itself and when it does it pauses tracking my run. It was especially bad today were it locked it self 4 times. Each time I need the pass code to unlock. This is extremely annoying as tracking my runs is important, to me.

Now, I had the same problem about a year back and that turned out to be my fault. I had lost weight so my watch strap had become loose. That is not the issue, this time.

Part of me thinks it could have been the new big update it took recently. But that was weeks ago, so I'm thinking not?

I've just restarted it and give the underneath a good clean.

I have had a search online and the issue does not seem to be widespread.

It's a Series 9.

Any ideas I could try for a fix?

You nailed the two things that jump to mind for me - cleanliness and tightness.

Do you have tattoos?
Did you try the other wrist?
