Serious advice on two older machines please.

I have a 2010 macbook A1342 and a 2012 macbook air 5,1

Macbook Specs:
2.4GHz Core2Duo
8GB DDR3 RAM
240GB SSD + 500GB HDD (no optical)
Running Sierra

Macbook Air Specs:
1.7GHz i5
4GB DDR3 RAM
64GB SSD
Running Sierra

I was using the macbook for work until keyboard failed (got new one ready to repair it)

I was using the machines for work which is 90% web based, filling in online database/forms etc.
My air has small HDD and I cannot afford to upgrade.

For my use I personally think my macbook would be fine for my use, if a tad slow offline.

My finacee macbook air has died and was thinking of taking back my a1342 once repaired and giving her my macbook air.
I know the air has usb 3.0 and I have a firewire and lan adaptor for the air.

Considering my use is simple then whats everyone thoughts on swapping from my air back to macbook?
I know it older and bit slower but will still do what I want ok.

I'm looking for real input and try not judge me too much please.

Definitely go back to the MacBook. The extra RAM alone makes that the right decision.
