Serious light flare-iPhone X - suspected faulty camera chip or similar

Hi

refurbished iPhone X 3 weeks old, noticed straight away light flare but been working so didn’t think about it again. Then I got a new iPhone SE 2020 for a spare phone and I’ve realised that there is a serious issue with the iPhone X, even my old iPhone 5 outperforms it in night shots.

Please tell me what you think. Definitely faulty camera yes? Even my 7 year old cheap Android takes better night pictures.
