Resolved SERIOUS MacBook Pro 2011 Audio Issues

My MacBook Pro won't play any sound through the headphone jack! The speakers are still alright, but my headphones don't work. And it's not a problem with them, because I've tried three pairs, all of which work with other devices.

You might have the wrong audio device selected. Make sure you select the proper one. Check the red areas in the attached pic (it's on a 15" which has two jacks so yours may not look the same).

Also, since the 13" has the combined in/out jack, maybe it's set for input only.

^I found out the problem: For some reason it thought the headphones were a Bluetooth speaker and needed to pair?? Anyway, it works now.
