Glitches that are just "glitches" dont bother me in the least. I'd rather Apple fix the "bad" stuff first, whatever the definition of "bad" is.
I've encountered that issue 3 times. Once on my mini 2 just within weeks of first getting iOS 8, then randomly a couple months ago on some 8.1.x build, it showed up on my mini 2, then on my iPhone 6 a day later. Restart has fixed it all 3 times.
I haven't had that glitch since 8.1 betas, and then it came back on this new one. Yeah... Maybe a sign that they're working on something.
Yeah, I've had that too. iOS 8 must be the buggiest new version yet, especially on new devices (iPhone 6/6+).
Astounding how quickly the quality of iOS has declined in terms of bugs and QA, even from just iOS 7. It can start to feel like you're having to fight it and use workarounds as opposed to the OS getting out of your way to focus on the task at hand.
