seriously, powerbook updates/ipod mini offer

i was gonna wait till the mactel's but now i think im gonna buy a powerbook now cuz of the free ipod mini (which i'll sell on ebay). but will there be an update of the powerbooks before the promotion is over (sept. 24)???? and do u think that the offer purposely ends on the day that the paris expo ends????? i think this promotion might be a way to get rid of their current ibooks and powerbooks and that their wont be and update of either until the promotion ends??? am i thinking right???? i hope not

It seems quite likely that there will be no updates till the promo is over and they deliberately chose the end date.

You could argue that with any promotion. All promotions have the purpose of helping the company sell more.
