I am dying on my late mb 2009.. Help.. someone help.

I know there are people out there who is in same(or worse) situation as I am in.
What's going on? Can we get some rumor moving to make it sounds like it's coming out sooner than later? :)

It came out yesterday did you miss it? All the people on here are waiting for the late 2012 MBP ;)

How are you dying? It just sounds like you want a faster computer. Otherwise, the 2011 model us already very good.

Unless your productivity is being negatively impacted by the C2D, I sincerely doubt you are "dying" on your '09.

If you're really being negatively affected, just get the Sandy Bridge models now. From early impressions, it looks like most of the material improvements are from graphics, which is irrelevant from a professional stand-point because if it mattered you would be using a discrete option anyway. The only other real drawback is the lack of USB 3.

Hmmm. Using my 2008 aluminum Macbook right now. I'm not feeling faint or experiencing any other near-death effects. Maybe you should see a doctor?

;)

Patience my padawan

I love the "Where is my new shiny Apple thing..." threads in these forums.
Meanwhile on the other side of town, folk are still waiting for a Mac Pro that wasn't designed when Tony Curtis was still alive.....

Agreed. Those poor Mac Pro folk deserve an update more than anyone.

What I don't understand is why people sell their Macbooks, Iphones or ipads months before the new one comes out and resort to an old computer until the new one comes out. Kinda pointless.

How about buy a new one on credit card, then sell the old one then use that cash to pay off some of the credit card. Simple as that.

What a hassle.

With that being said, I hope the new one comes out soon. I need a real upgrade, not just a new yearly toy that I will use for 9 months.

It can wait...for right now. lol. I won't be getting one till around August so I am just fine with their not being a refresh yet. haha.

i think it's abt the selling prices.

Eh, I'm using a 13" late 2011, and I want the new 15" pretty bad. I hate this tiny screen.

I'm on a 2009 MacBook Pro. It's not that bad... You make it sound like it's 10 years old, not 2 and 1/4 ;)

It's because the resale value of the old product will drop significantly when the new one comes out, even if it seems like 'everyone knows a new one is being announced next week', there will be a lot of people who don't follow the tech news and will pay top dollar for 2nd hand product that is going to be replaced within the week.

So people would rather give up using their awesome machine for a month or two to be able to sell it for an extra hundred bucks.. They don't drop that significantly..
