Help! I can no longer log in to my user accounts. I just got done upgrading to Mavericks and as soon as I did I couldn't log into either my account or my wife's account (both network). I figured it was probably something to do with server in the upgrade so I logged on under a local admin account. Low and behold I find out that not only is server not compatible with Yosemite, but I have to pay $20 to get the new version. Frustrating, but its just $20 so oh well.

So I upgraded to Server 4 and tried to log in again under my network accounts and it still doesn't work. So I go into server and look under account and now there are 2 additional accounts listed. They seem to be duplicates of the network accounts but local only. They are both flagged and when i go into them it says "This user is not configured to access some services" with a "fix" button. When I click the fix button it asks of the users password which it tells me is incorrect.

So I went into workgroup manager and it only shows the proper network accounts. When I try to change the password for the accounts it says "In order to set the password of a a user with an Open Directory Password, your own password type must be Open Directory. Administrators with other password types cannot set the password of a user with an Open Directory password." So I went to the advanced tab and clicked on open directory to reset the password that way. When I do that it seems to work, but I still can't log in.

It seems to me that something in the passwords are broken. At this point I am at a loss of what to do. Every year when I upgrade it seems to break something I and I have to format and reinstall everything. I am sick of doing that and really don't want to have to do it again, but I don't know what other choice I have at this point. Please save me from that.
