Hey,
I have had ongoing Permissions inconsistencies on my server... PLEASE HELP!
Since upgrading the internal HD to a GDrive Raid5 with an esata cable, the folder on the new HD doesn't seem to hold its permissions settings.
The Server is running OS X Server 10.6.8. The users are S, A, and L (L is the admin). I open the folder info window and set S, A, and L to have READ/WRITE permissions, and then click on the settings icon to have these permissions apply to all enclosed folders. THIS SHOULD WORK, YES???
Well... when user A writes to the server, user S cannot delete those folders. It seems that user S is not operating properly.
Should I setup new users?
Should I run disk utilities - repair permissions?
Did i set this up improperly???
PLEASE ADVISE GREAT MAC PEEPS!!!
thanks,
r.
