Hi all,

I have recently purchased the AW5 in SBTi but it wasn't directly through the Apple Store as the wait time was too long. Anyhow this is the second time this has happened to me now, whenever i go to check the serial number it always says Telephone and Service/Repairs coverage expired on the Apple website. Very strange since the watch was released at the end of September.

Anybody have any ideas in regards to this? Last time this happened when i checked with Apple they said that the watch that i had was a demo model?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Is where you purchased an authorized vendor?

No it is from an electronics second hand store since they were the only ones that had it in stock available now.

Should this make any difference?

Yes! Could be grey market? Stolen ? Anything. Always purchase from Apple or an authorized reseller.

In order to receive quick delivery, you may be left with a watch w/o support. Not a good position to be in.

I can return it, but I was just curious as to why this is happening? It says that there’s a valid purchase date for it though. Last time Apple were able to override it from my proof of purchase. Very strange. Thanks anyway
