Hi, I got my Macbook Pro in August 2009, it's now almost August 2011. I'm on coconut battery and it says the age of my Macbook is 24 months.

I've noticed this morning that it says "Service battery". Is there anything that I can do about this? For example a battery calibration?

Or can anybody give me any tips.

Thanks

Do you have Applecare?

No, should I be worried? ..

Edit, and on that note i've just checked the battery again and the "Service Battery" warning has disappeared. I was just running Minecraft without the charger in so that could have run it down a bit?

No, should I be worried? ..

Just asking because I had problems with my battery and dropped in to Genius Bar and they replaced it under applecare. It was showing Service Status but also could just shut down the machine when it was still showing 40-60% charge left.

EDIT: Looks like yours is an intermittent issue so might not be as serious as what I experienced
