I recently visited Mac Mall and saw that their Service Net offered protection service covers accidental damange. I was wondering, does anyone have experience with this Service Net? Is it better than Apple Care? I live 15 minutes from an apple store, would it be better for me to get Apple Care? (but am in college so concerned with accidental damange). Any ideas?

Do you already have home insurance? I know some students don't but over here a lot do, in which case you may already be covered against accidental damage.

Well currently my insurance is covered through my parents so it depends. I might be getting renter's insurance soon though if I move from the dorms to the apartment. I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with Service Net over Apple Care.

MacMall: Service Net (v. Apple Care) 4 Year.

The Service Net cover is also offered by MacMall as an alternative to Apple Care. It allows for four years, (not three) which could be very useful. Anyone know how effective it may be? Thx.
