Hi,

I have a Western Digital My Book World Edition external Harddrive.
It is a Network Drive, this drive: http://support.wdc.com/product/download.asp?groupid=106&sid=76&lang=en

I have been using it for 2 years now networked with a few imacs.
I no longer have the software disk that comes with it.

It has no username and password set to it but I would like to set a password on it now as I have moved into a bigger office with more people.

My question is how can I set a password to access the drive, considering I no longer have the software CD and am using an imac?

Thanks for your help.

If you haven't resolved this yet, here is the User Manual on the drive from WD. It describes how to reset the password.

You can download the software ISO to create a new CD like the one that came with it from WD here.
