I've had a jailbroken 3GS, but things got a bit weird with battery life. It drained too fast. So I thought, screw that, what's the point of having a jailbroken phone if the already bad battery life of the iphone gets cut in half.

I did an update to 3.1.3 and restored, battery life is back to normal, which is great, but there are remains from the jailbreak. I still got a custom name for the network for example. I would like to get rid of all jailbreak left overs.

1. If I set up as new, can I restore from my old back up?

2. If I can restore from my old back up after I set up as new, will this get rid of any jailbreak left overs?

3. If the above are possible, will I lose any personal data, like mail settings, sms and such?
