I just purchased an Airport Extreme 802.11a/b/g/n to use as my home wifi router. I have two Airport Expresses 802.11b/g. I want to use one for Airtunes to my stereo and another for wireless printing.

Am I correct in understanding that if I set the Airport Expresses to join my Airport Extreme network (and NOT extend it) I won't slow my network speeds down?

Thanks.

You mean if you connect them wirelessly? yea it will. cause it will have to communicate with them at 802.11g.
