Hey Everyone,
My new iPhone is coming in the mail sometime later today (very excited), and I was thinking of just setting up the new iPhone as a new phone to then manually download all of my apps. From talking with friends, it seems that setting up an iPhone from an iCloud backup just runs slower, and this will let me find and dump those apps that I never ever touch.
Is it possible to set up an iPhone as a new phone, but then to grab my old messages, contacts, and photos from the cloud? Everything else I can get when I redownload apps, but it's really those 3 things that matter. I know I can do that manually if I connect to iTunes, but the messages may not transfer well, and with photos I don't want those stupid "my faces" albums. Thoughts?
