Set up new 4S, how to sync

I have a ipod touch on my itunes with all my music and podcasts. I set up my iphone 4s over wifi and turned on icloud. When I plug in the iphone to my computer, nothing happens. If I plug into wall with wifi on and it locked, nothing happens. How do I get it to show up in itunes so I can tell it I want my music synced? Thanks
