I've had my phone since launch in Canada, and I'm annoyed I can't figure out how to assign a voicemail dial string like I could to any other phone......When I dial voicemail I have to take the phone off my face, hit "hide sources", hit keypad, enter in my password, and then listen. On every other phone I was able to program "voicemail" to be xxx-xxx-xxxx(P)xxxx where "p" is a programmed pause and the final 4 are password....

Am I missing something? or is this not an option on the iphone? I know that other iphones on other carriers don't even dial thru, it just opens the mailbox

The setup should be easy.

When I bought my first iPhone somehow the voicemail was not transferred over properly and my Voicemail simply didn't work.

I called my carrier, AT&T, and the rep did something on their end. Within seconds my VM was working.

My idea: call the carrier.
