I have an HP Deskjet 6988. It has a built-in wireless receiver and I'm trying to set up and adhoc connection between my laptop and the printer so that I can print wirelessly without necessarily using a wireless internet access point between the 2 of them.
The user manual for the printer describes how to do this in detail, but they say that during the installation of the drivers, there is a window that comes up asking for the connection typeno such window appears.
Is there a way to go about doing this solely through the operating system? ...since it doesn't seem like the HP Installer is going to do my any good.
Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to get the Installer to give them the correct window?
