Setting Default AVI player

How do I set the default AVI player to VLC instead of Quicktime. It gets kind of annoying always having to drag it to vlc instead of just double clicking. I went into the Quicktime prefs and unchekced AVI in the MIME settings, but that dind't work.

Asked and answered about a million times. Check out File > Get Info in the Finder.
