I would like to turn one of my machines into a FTP server (preferably the one running 10.4.11). Is it necessary to run something like CrushFTP or Rumpus, or can it be done with what's supplied with the OS?

Want to keep it simple, not for high traffic or many users, just occasional usage to x-change files with my office computer and let some clients upload/download their files (so creating password protected folders for them is a plus).

I'll take any suggestions.

Thanks, I'm looking at it right now....very straightforward and useful.

I got it working just like it should. Now, how do I restrict users to a certain folder?...because as of right now they have access to all folders and files.

Is it possible to provide access to certain clients just to one folder (their folder containing their files)? How?

TIA
