Hey guys!

I'm an IT assistant at a school, and we've got four carts of MacBook Pros running Mountain Lion for use by our middle schoolers. We have pretty much everything locked up, system preferences wise, but being middle schoolers they continuously figure out ways to mess things up. Recently we've had to disable the USB ports on the laptops due to students bringing in flash drives and reinstalling the OS to get around these walls.

My boss asked me to research if there's any way we could set up the laptops to take a picture whenever a specific action is done, such as accessing a specific folder or something like that, so we can try to catch whichever student(s) are doing this. Is this possible? There are apps that take a picture whenever a laptop is opened, but we were hoping for something more specific than that so we don't have thousands of pictures a week to go through.

If you guys have any advice at all, let me know! Thank you!
