Hi,

I recently persuaded the bosses to invest in some Mac Pros for me and my fellow graphic designer. We have pretty much solved all the problems apart from this one.

How can I specify the paper weight on OS X. I have looked on the printer settings in the systems preferences, checked the Quark 7 and InDesign CS3 preferences but I can't see anything. Its causing the printers to return an error so we manually have to force it to print on the Heavy paper (130gsm).

The printers can't be set to plain A3 paper as then they all jam up.

Can anyone help?

Check out this link. Sections 4, 7 and 9 pertain to your printer. See if one of the problems you're having is listed.

If not, what's the error code that comes up?

The printer asks for plain A3 as that is what the mac has requested, I then have to go the printer and manually override it and force it to use A3 heavy which is what I wanted it to print on originally; but can't find the setting for.

Thanks

Does that model allow you to log in and administer it from the ethernet network.
