When I upgraded to my S4 watch, the S3 was put ‘on the shelf’, possibly as a ‘backup’ until I decided whether to sell or not.
I’ve now decided not to sell and to set it up as a second watch. Plan is the S4 will be my ‘daily’ watch and the S3 will be my nigh time sleep tracker/alarm watch.

I’d appreciate help with some ‘concerns’....
First step is to (re)pair the S3 to my iphone, update watchOS, do I restore from a previous backup or leave as factory settings.
I believe I can setup auto switching on the phone so it knows which watch I’m wearing.

Presumably I can configure notifications independently on each watch so I only get (say) phone calls through the night.

Reading on here it looks like AutoSleep is the app I’ll use ?
I’d like the app on both watches so I can record sleep at night on the S4 and any afternoon ‘naps’ on the S3.
Is this likely to cause any issues ?

Any other things to be aware of ?

If you unpaired your S3 a while back, you may find there's no longer a backup of it (iCloud backups expire after a while, but I'm not sure about watch ones) - regardless I'd set it up as new as you have specific requirements for the settings so start from scratch.

All settings are independent between watches, even if you actually want them to sync.

You won't have any issues with Autosleep in the way you describe. I use an S5 and an S4 in that way perfectly fine, and the same with an S4 and S2 before it. It won't confuse autosleep.

Agreed. I use an S3 and an “S0” that way. Autosleep works great; once you set it up, it really is automatic.
Many thanks nicho.
Does AutoSleep have a reasonable interface ?
I like it, a lot. Just makes sense.
