As some of you probably already know, if you someone knows your Iphone's passcode, they can get into your phone an change your Apple ID password and also gain access to your passwords if you store them in the iCloud Keychain.

I have set up a separate screen time passcode to block a would intruder from being able to change my Apple ID password. However, there doesn't seem to be similar option for passwords store in iCloud Keychain.

Does anyone have any work arounds for securing passwords in the iCloud Keychain other than switching to a third-party password manager?

Well, the first thing is to NOT provide access to 3rd parties and stop giving an unlocked phone to somebody, unless you're 210% confident in them (but still).

No matter, who and why (except trusted ones but be very selective), give iPhone only when it's locked. Asking to view photos (or whatever) -- sure, I'll share the screen to a display or from my hands only. It's not weird behavior, it's a wise one, believe me)) (I did a few things, shame on me).

But if you're looking for certain steps:
While setting up a separate Screen Time passcode can prevent someone from changing your Apple ID password, it doesn't protect your iCloud Keychain passwords.

To add an extra layer of security to your iCloud Keychain, you can enable two-factor authentication for your Apple ID. Two-factor authentication requires both your password and a verification code sent to your trusted device or phone number before allowing access to your account or Keychain. This means that even if someone knows your password, they won't be able to access your iCloud Keychain without the verification code.

To enable two-factor authentication for your Apple ID, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Apple ID website (appleid.apple.com) and sign in with your Apple ID and password.
  2. Click on "Security" in the sidebar.
  3. Click on "Two-Factor Authentication" and follow the prompts to enable it.
Once enabled, you'll receive a verification code on your trusted device or phone number whenever you or someone else attempts to sign in to your account or access your iCloud Keychain. This can help prevent unauthorized access to your passwords and other sensitive information.
