I got the samsung 256 pro, what a little beast.

I made the ssd the start up disk. So now how do i set it up so that the only thing ssd has on it is the applications and os. Everything else should be on the 500 gb hard drive in my data doubler. Also how do i have downloads go to the hard drive and not ssd.

Basically how do i fully set it up, so its stream lined and i have no problems later on. Finding things and etc.

Thanks

Here's on way.
http://mac.tutsplus.com/tutorials/os-x/relocate-your-home-folder-to-another-drive-or-volume/

and another link: http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57365307-263/moving-your-home-folder-in-os-x/

There's more links if you wish to google it yourself but it appears what I provided should work

So set up like that - where the Home folder is on separate hdd - what does it actually allow you to do ?

For instance if Im using word and photoshop - with home folder on separate drive, when I will need to reinstall system will I get mentioned apps set up just as before the fresh installation ?

I'm just not really getting the idea of this solution. I presume I can tell my web browser where to store the download files and same with other programs.
