Setting up a wireless printer

I just got a mac book and a hp photo smart 4200 series printer, i would like to set it up as a wireless printer, but i don't really know how to go about doing it. I would only want my computer to access it, although if it had to get put on an open wireless network i'm will to do that as well, any help would be appreciated
