Setting up AirParrot 1

I tried using the older ver of AirParrot trial ver on my Mid 2011 MacBook Pro running SL but got as far as installing the driver and my Mac wouldn't load it. I almost made it as the display showed on the HDTV no problem. Is there a fix or work around for the driver needed to play audio.
