Hey all,
Im about to move away to university. I will have internet access in my dorm room, but it will be highly restricted. http and https are the only protocols allowed. This means I wont be able to make use of instant messaging or any other non-http service. Unless I can set up a http tunnel. I do have a machine here at home with a static ip that could do as a proxy, but Ive done some deep googl searches and have not found any information about setting up a http tunnel on a mac.
I know about ssh tunnelling, but that won't be allowed through the firewall. It't gotta be http. So can anybody give me some tips as to how to set this up? Any help will b much appreciated.
Thanks
Charlie
