Setting up Apple ID for 10 year old

She just got her iPod Touch today and we went to set up her Apple ID. It let her do so for general use but when she went to get a few apps the age restriction pops up. My question is if I set up another Apple ID for her and it's tied to the same email address with a different birthdate will that work?

You won't be able to tie a new one to the same address. You need to get a new account and lie about the birth date.

Or why not just use your own apple I/D? That's what we do in our house. I just make sure I don't sync all my apps on my iPhone and vice versa. You can then select which items you don't want to share like email Callander etc. another good feature of this is when she is using iMessage you can read what she is saying. Might sound a bit BB but lets face it in a couple of years she will be talking to boys who only have one thing on their mind!
