I think I know the answer to this, but here goes.
When my new phone arrives, I’d like to set it up as a new phone (contacts and messages are in the Cloud so they’ll restore as normal). I’ve had this really annoying bug since iOS 15 where Messages just doesn’t communicate with my Apple Watch: some contacts’ messages will ‘ping’ as they should, some just don’t deliver at all: they’ll display as a little dot on the app, but the phone doesn’t notify me, I guess because, it thinks the watch is telling me. Apple have tried to help or more than one occasion but no joy. The Watch has been restored and set up as new, but never the phone…
So, I’d like to set my phone up as new. All the essentials are in the cloud so I’ll get those downloaded. But, I have health and exercise/fitness data going back to early 2017 that I don’t want to lose. Is there anyway that I can retrieve this once my new phone is set up? I don’t want to transfer everything because I’d like to try and eradicate the bug that’s causing this to happen, but equally, I’ve got a lot of data that I don’t want to lose.
Any help appreciated!
Thank you,
Dan
