Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a Mail related problem. Basically, my problem is that i can't work out how to 'file away' stuff out of my inbox

My first problem I have is that I want to set it up so all Facebook notifications are moved to a mailbox called 'facebook'. So I set up a rule saying all messages from the sender 'Facebook' get moved to that mailbox. I apply the rule to my inbox and all the messages get sent there. Hooray?
But not hooray. For some reason I go back to mail later and all the facebook messages are there again in my inbox, as well as in the facebook mailbox. I apply rules again, they move again and are duplicates in the facebook mailbox - then reappear in inbox. Can anyone help me here? What am I doing wrong?

My other problem is that I want my inbox to be a place where only messages I haven't dealt with yet are (ie unread, unresponded to, not processed to calendar or to-do etc). Therefore all the rest should be archived to some folder called 'archive'. But I can't work out how to acheive this? Anyone know?

Right now my technique is to 'flag' messages that need to be processed somehow, which puts them in a smart mailbox called 'Respond'. Then all the stuff I need to deal with goes there. But in my procrastinating it just creates an out-of-sight out-of-mind situation in which I just ignore that folder - and also they're just copied so I can't mark them as unread without making it look like there are unread messages in the inbox. It'd be nice to have that counter there to show how many messages I have to deal with..

Can anyone share their technique for dealing with emails like this or help me with any of the above problems?
Thanks in advance!
