So I just order my first macbook pro. I have a few questions on setting it up:

  1. My data is too large to fit on a 128 GB SSD, so I ordered an external hard drive. I was thinking about keeping the home folder on the SSD, but using symlinks to put my music, picture, and video folders on the external hard drive. I read a couple of threads on how to do that, but I was wondering if I would have any problems if I disconnect the external hard drive from my computer. I do not want to have the hard drive connected all the time. Also, I do not want to do the optibay mod.
  2. Is microsoft office in the Mac App Store?
  3. Do you guys recommend anything else or have some tips?

I don't think you can search it online, only through the App itself. Or so I thought.
I wasn't suggesting searching outside the store, but searching the store itself.

You can browse Mac apps by category, such as games, productivity, music, and more. Or do a quick search for something specific.
I didn't know you could search the mac app store online.
That's why I mentioned it, so you would know it's searchable, in case you want to find other apps.
Do you guys recommend anything else or have some tips?
