Is it possible to set up a raid array (using the Apple raid software) so that my documents/data on my Powerbook hardrive are automatically mirrored to my Lacie external firewire hard drive? If possible, how do I go about setting this up?

Thanks in advance...

Doing this will require you always have the external hard drive plugged in. Which means carrying it with you everywhere.

A better idea would be to use some backup software to regularly back up your critical data.

IIRC, you can't use your startup disk as part of your RAID array. Thus you would need 2 external HD's to call it a RAID system.
