Setting up Siri remote

I just received my new Apple TV 4K 2021. It’s my first ATV. I will connect it to my Marantz av receiver, which is connected to my Sony OLED TV. I always watch TV through my receiver. My universal remote is programmed to turn on the cable box as well as the receiver and TV. I was hoping that the Siri remote would turn on the ATV, the receiver and the TV, but apparently that isn’t possible. So, it seems that I will have to turn on these components with my universal remote and then control the ATV with either that remote or the Siri remote. Am I missing something, or is that true? If true, which alternative do you recommend? What functions would I be missing if I go the universal remote route? Thanks for your insights.
