Hey,
I'm trying to get xgrid up and running on my cluster, but seem to be hitting a brick wall. Let me explain the setup. I have a xgrid/opendirctory server running 10.4 server, kerberos is up and running. I have 4 machines running snow leopard connected to the server on their own subnet. My early attempts worked well (doing cal jobs, etc) but when I tried to run a lot of java processes it crashed the database because it was sending the whole Jar across with every job. I thought a better idea would be to have the Jar in the users shared folder and run it from there, and write the results there too. The shares are using AFP. I have heard that single sign on has to be used for this but all the client machines are not on the kerberos realm. They could ssh in using their opendirectory account and run it from there on the controller, which might get around this. So, my question is, am I going about this the right way or am I doing it ass-backwards? Any response would be greatly appreciated!
