I backed up my 3G as it began to die 2 weeks ago. Just purchased an iPhone4 yesterday, and went to set it up in iTunes from the backup - but it was nowhere to be found. Instead, the iPhone4 installed a backup from 6 months ago, and tons of stuff is missing. Even stuff that should have been on that 6-month-old backup. My camera roll is missing a ton of stuff and is shuffled, and only a couple of apps migrated to the new iPhone.

When I view my iTunes account it shows every purchase I've made since 2008; but there are ZERO apps under the "apps" tab. Music as well is no where to be found. When I try to re-download stuff I've already bought (Wikipanion, Inrix Traffic for example) it tries to charge me again.

I HAVE to be doing something wrong. There's no way that I'm paying again for apps and music I've already bought.

I've associated a new credit card with my iTunes account as well, but that shouldn't affect anything, should it?
