I backed up my iPhone 7 and am now trying to set up my new X from said backup. (the X is a hand-me-up from my daughter) Mac and Phone each have the latest OS, iTunes, etc.
Originally I wanted to create a virgin phone and start from scratch but after a day or so decided to go back and restore from my iPhone 7 backup. I plugged into the Mac and got the "Welcome to your new iPhone" screen. I chose "Restore from this backup" and got a progress window that estimated 28 minutes. A little while later it was 36, then 48, an hour, 2 hours...now it's 12 hours having increased since I typed the subject line.
The phone is completely useable as if nothing is happening. It has 200 GB available.
What can/should I do?
TIA
